SUMMARY:STAND UP AND CLOWN
DESCRIPTION:Chad Damiani is on a mission. Save comedy from cleverness. Or burn it all down. Watch as he directs St. Louis performers through a perilous modern clown show – one that forces them to dig deep\, give more and find solutions to impossible problems. Can these players fully commit to nonsense and give the audience the show of their lives? Or will they crumble under the ruthless pressure of the one-and-only Clown Boss? A glorious celebration of failure and the cruelest show in clown. This is a free event! “The father of modern clown in LA” – NPR Chad Damiani is one of the architects of the modern LA clown scene – a dynamic fusion of improv\, sketch\, stand-up and character with the fundamental principles of clown work. He’s the creator/host of the STAND UP AND CLOWN podcast (a deep dive into modern clown topics\, inspired by his live show of the same name). Chad is an ensemble member of STAMPTOWN (they are filming their first Netflix special in May) and also tours with PIFF THE MAGIC DRAGON’S ALL-STAR VEGAS – a traditional circus variety show that plays large venues all over North America. He’s also been in a bunch of TV shows and movies (including DAVE and AGT) and started his career as a professional wrestling announcer for World Championship Wrestling.\n\nhttps://laugh.town/shows/stand-up-and-clown-the-improv-shop-2026-06-22-9pm
