Chill August Blue: Poetry & Jazz takes over the theater at Barrel Proof Lounge on Tuesday\, August 25 from 5–7 PM for an intimate early-evening gathering of writers\, musicians\, readers\, and listeners. LIVE JAZZ Chappell & Dave Holt bring the music\, setting the mood for an evening where jazz and the spoken word share the stage. FEATURED POETRY & PROSE Elizabeth Herron Joanna Wheeldin Jack Crimmins N’game Gray Steve Shain and his bass Plus Wendy Nicholson joins us as our guest host. And the Poetry Salon isn't just for the featured writers. Open mic slots are available — come early if you'd like a chance to share your own poetry\, prose\, or spoken word from the Barrel Proof stage. The Poetry Salon is a relaxed\, welcoming listening-room experience where the words get the attention they deserve.
