Frequently Asked Questions
What is laugh.town?
laugh.town is a community-maintained comedy database. We track comedians, comedy venues, live shows, specials, albums, and more. The data is openly published using the AT Protocol so anyone can build on it.
What does the checkmark mean?
A checkmark next to a comedian or venue name means the page is managed by a verified account. For comedians, this means the comedian (or their representative) has confirmed their identity and has direct edit access to their page. For venues, this means the venue owner or staff manages the page.
Verified accounts can update their profile information, social links, and works instantly without moderator approval.
How do I claim my page?
If you're a comedian or venue owner, email help@laugh.town from an address associated with your official presence. We'll verify your identity and grant you edit access.
How do edit suggestions work?
Any signed-in user can suggest edits to comedian and venue pages. Click on a field to edit it, make your changes, and click Submit. Your suggestions are published to your AT Protocol account and reviewed by a moderator, who can accept or reject individual changes.
How do I sign in?
laugh.town uses Bluesky accounts for sign-in via the AT Protocol. If you have a Bluesky account, you can sign in with your handle. If not, you can create one at bsky.app.
