Miss Coco LeBon is a living legend renowned for her magnetic stage presence and her insatiable appetite for men. But no man has ever truly replaced has replaced her first love (who mysteriously vanished after she threw him out a window). Tonight is Coco’s grand finale after decades of fame and seduction. But if the love of her life happens to come back for one last try, will she take him back? Should she? Coco! Coco! Coco! is a solo clown melodrama starring Nikki Thayer and an emotionally unavailable stunt dummy. Drawing from a range of difficult divas like Marlene Dietrich, Lucille Bluth, and Miss Piggy, the show plays with what it means to sacrifice everything for love. The result is sort of like if Sunset Blvd was very, very stupid. Expect some audience participation and consensual but passionate flirting. This is Nikki Thayer’s debut solo show. She’s studied clown and physical comedy with some of the best teachers in Los Angeles, including The Idiot Workshop, The Clown School, Eric Davis, Dean Evans, Natasha Mercado, directing with Corey Podell, and produced a digital team at the Upright Citizen’s Brigade. She’s also acted in immersive shows including Time Tourist (with Live Action Attractions) and It All Started in the Garage (with Jake Timeline). As one half of Form is Fake, she produces and acts in immersive parties that incorporate elements of clown, LARP, and game design. Together, Form is Fake has built a site-specific law firm specializing in Fae contract law as part of Encounter, and made events like Dance Party at the End of the World (a War of the Worlds themed show where guests party like deranged millionaires through an alien invasion in real time), Reverse Murder Mystery Party (where guests vie to convince a detective that they’re guilty with absurd confessions), and Press Me I Talk (where guests went undercover to stop a nefarious Toy Company full of dangerous secrets).
