Born and raised in Los Angeles, Daniel is a comedian, podcaster, writer, and one of the breakout stand-up acts from Season 21 of America’s Got Talent, where his fearless comedy earned him four YES votes from the judges and ultimately took him all the way to the semifinals. Daniel’s comedy comes from a life story unlike anyone else’s. In 2007, at just 21 years old, he was shot while leaving a Halloween party — while dressed as Spider-Man — and the injury left him paralyzed. Rather than shy away from what happened, Daniel eventually found stand-up and began turning his experiences into brutally honest, self-deprecating comedy. His material tackles everything from life in a wheelchair and dating to growing up in Los Angeles with six sisters, Latino culture, family, and the everyday absurdities of life. Since beginning stand-up, Daniel has worked his way through the Los Angeles comedy scene, performing at clubs including The Comedy Store and The Ice House, while also hosting the Latin Feels Podcast. Authentic, fearless, and seriously funny, Daniel has built his act by finding laughs in places most people would never think to look.
