Prerequisite: A Completed 101 or Education Director Approval Student Showcase: Sunday, November 22nd between 5pm-9pm Instructor: Lindsey Theis (rhymes with peace) is a lifelong theater kid and veteran improviser who recently moved back to Denver from LA. She has “yes, anded” all over stages in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Denver, and more. As a teacher and coach, her philosophy is that stage time is the best teacher and aims to get students as many reps as possible. She believes in prioritizing fun, ease, growth, support, and authenticity in each class. She began her improv journey in 2011 and has trained with the Upright Citizens Brigade, WGIS, and The Groundlings, as well as dozens of veteran instructors from Boom Chicago, Second City, Annoyance, IO, Magnet and PIT. Most recently, Lindsey was a member of the house Harold team Space Cadet at WGIS and on UCB indie team Oscar 2.0 in Los Angeles. She’s a cofounder of the improv nonprofit Big Canvas, a family friendly improv nonprofit with the mission of comedy for everyone. She also spent 20 years as a television news reporter and anchor. Lindsey decided to leave the business in 2024 and pursue the more respected and lucrative business of improv comedy. Lindsey regularly performs with the national murder mystery company The Dinner Detective, at Rise Theater, and on zoom for her niece and nephew.
