Location: Imposters Theater 4828 Lorain Ave Cleveland OH 44102 This class is designed for absolute beginners up to those with some short form or long form improv experience. Each week we will develop your group and individual skills through scene work and exercises. This course is an introduction to long-form improvisation, based on the style developed by The iO Theater and The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. We will start with a focus on the fundamentals - agreement, listening, and support - as well as the thing that should come across in every scene: the FUN! We will also get into technical improv skills like establishing the reality of the scene, connecting with your scene partner, and playing with emotion. Class ends in a graduation show. Parking: Enter the main entrance to Urban Community School on W. 47th Street, south of Lorain Ave. Follow the driveway to the main oval parking lot in front of the red tower. You can park in any space marked with a green square. You can then follow the sidewalk to Lorain Ave. You will see Imposters directly across Lorain Ave. from the school. Payment plans available.
