Description: This workshop focuses on the eagle-eye view of a longform set – namely, tips, tricks, and practices to enhance group memory (as well as your own). Learn to listen actively and make million-dollar callbacks, serve your show by serving each other, and find the dreamlike echoes across time and space. This workshop is for anyone who aspires to perform long form improv that connects on more than a scene-to-scene basis; all levels of experience welcome. Bio: Gretchen Eng is the Director of Education at the iO Theater. She has performed in the Chicago comedy community since she was sixteen and notably produces/performs in The Armando (iO’s flagship and the longest-running improv show in Chicago) as well as Devil’s Daughter. She has been a teacher at iO for over a decade and she has taught improv for companies, organizations, and festivals around the world.
